Valeggio sul Mincio, situated in the western part of the province of Verona, it confines with the Lombardy provinces of Mantova and Brescia and is located in the southern morainic amphitheater of the lake of Garda.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Mincio valley crosses its territory from north to south and offers very suggestive landscapes and always renewed by the looming of the loops or by the accurate motion of cascades.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the most beautiful points is the crossing of the river in correspondence with the enchanting Borghetto, formerly Longobard ford and through the wooden bridge was for centuries the only possibility of passage. <\/span>
\nConsolidated as a town in the Middle Ages, Borghetto also reveals its origin through the Ghibelline battlements and the wheels of the ancient mills.<\/span><\/p>\n

The village is dominated by the monumental Ponte Visconteo (Ponte Longo for the inhabitants), a defensive work build in 1393 from Gian Galeazzo Visconti.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now Valeggio sul Mincio is a city famous for its kitchen which it excels the typical dish: the typical dish excels: the tortellinis of Valeggio.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>
